UIC Campus units use Tracker to electronically enter the Form I9 for all new hires and rehires for University employees. The system also checks E-Verify for employees who meet certain criteria.

How to Request Access to the Tracker Electronic I-9 System
1. New I-9 Managers must complete both the Form I9: The Basics and I9 Tracker Procedures online training.
2. Unit Security Contacts may email a request for Tracker access to the appropriate campus/central HR office. The USC must include the new I-9 Manager's name and Enterprise ID in the email. Campus/central HR office contact: UIC: Online Request Form. Submitting the online request form will automatically send an email to the UIC HR Office.
3. Campus/central HR offices will authorize access and request the appropriate setup.
4. I-9 Managers can access the Tracker Electronic I-9 system via the Enterprise Applications Human Resources page, click on Tracker Electronic I-9.

Single-Use New Hire Login Email - Use a system-generated email to initiate the I-9.
Multi-Use New Hire Login Page - Share a URL for use in an offer letter, during hiring events, or at a public kiosk.
One on One Method - For use at the I-9 Manager's computer when new hire does not have access to a computer or the employee visits the unit to complete the I-9 form.
Import Paper I-9 - Used for special situations ONLY, i.e., when a new hire/rehire Form I-9 must be completed on paper due to a power or system outage, and then imported into Tracker.
Name Change - Offers suggestions for names changes if the original I-9 is not in Tracker.
