Help us to improve this page.
As you know UICHR has been focusing on how to improve the customer service aspects of Civil Service hiring. Our focus has not only been with our Campus customers but also with our job applicants and candidates. To improve the speed with which contact is made with all applicants and candidates, all communication will be via email only beginning October 1, 2013. U.S. postal service will no longer be an option. This change will help expedite information about applicant interest, exam schedules, job interviews, applicant/candidate questions, etc. We believe this singular and focused approach to communicating with applicants and candidates will help in reducing cycle time in the process. It is understood that phone and personal contact will be needed in the hiring process especially at the time of offer. The notice below has been placed on the UIC Job Board in key locations where Civil Service job applicants and candidates look for information.
Please keep in mind that all job applicants at UIC are already required to have an email address. To help communicate this change we will be doing the following:
Please direct any questions you may have about this change to Recruitment and Staffing at (312) 996-0840.
Effective 10/1/2013, all communications and correspondence in regard to civil service hiring and examinations will occur through email or other forms of electronic messaging.
When completing your online application, please be sure to provide detailed information about your knowledge and experience, as your qualifications for any Civil Service position will be primarily determined based on what is contained in the application, not the resume. Please be sure to include an accurate email address and to check it regularly for UIC position updates or notices.
