2013 Recap Video

On November 1, 2013, UIC Human Resources sponsored its first HR Academy, a full day of learning about human resources policies, procedures, and best practices in public higher education.

Keynote speakers addressed skills and behaviors essential to high-performing HR functional areas. Academy attendees participated in a series of discovery sessions exploring practices and knowledge critical to HR service delivery. Experts and panelists presented topics ranging from recruitment and hiring, to performance management, communication, and conflict resolution.

Over the course of the day, Academy attendees gained valuable insights and practical knowledge to advance excellence in human resource service delivery at UIC and throughout public higher education.
